that's not controlled by your browser, unless your Outlook or mail app is a web-based version
how do I do one of those that auto opens outlook or mail app to do the email instead of a new tab?
In the mid-90s the web was a simpler place. There were no rules, only jungle law mattered
You can omit it, but it means the mailto: link will redirect inside the current window, leaving the user to wonder why they're viewing a blank screen. If you
target="_blank" instead, it will open a new tab/browser window
Many moons ago, some websites were hosted inside iframes.
_top refers to the top-most window, and instructs the hyperlink to open in the top-most frame
sorry in advance for idiotic non-silverstripe question….
BUT…. I need to make a link in a template that is one of those ones you can click on to write an email to someone. According to w3schools website, it needs to be
<a href="<mailto:[email protected]?Subject=Hello%20again>" target="_top">Send Mail</a>
what does the
target="_top" bit do????
getting :crickets: in there
is anyone online in #ecommerce ?
