> "You have to pick the job you want for the rest of your life strait out of school" sadly, this is what schools teach kids... 😞
Folks gotta remember that open source contributions are a voluntary thing, there's no obligation to maintain. That'd be like saying "You have to pick the job you want for the rest of your life strait out of school". People browsing or wanting should also be prepared to give back or investigate and address the issues they find themselves. 'Tis the nature of the beast. Sure not everyone is technical, but then those people need to keep in mind that they're getting something for nothing, and approach shortcomings with a more open attitude 🙂
Something newer and shinier always happens along too, or RL priorities happen, etc.
never enough time
Though to be fair, all mine are currently in the 'dump and forget' category 😕 I know it's something I should work on. But so is publishing the other 50% and updating 100% for SS4 compatibility... amongst other projects, etc, etc etc.
Mmm, I think you misunderstood. I meant when I'm browsing/searching modules, not maintaining 😉
You should though, as others try to get a higher score when possible, so it's worth giving it effort so the overall quality goes up as well.
Other than to give a brief "heh" to a low number proudly displayed atop a module's Readme in github.
I pay no mind to it at all personally @nicole
Is it possible to change the 'managed_models' URL in SS 3.2? I have a namespaced DataObject and I'd prefer the URL to not show 'SilbinaryWolf-Module-RecordType'
