Hi all. I hope the Wellingtonian SilverStripers are having a relatively easy clean-up after the quake. I was in Wellington for a 6.5 a few years ago; quakes are disruptive to not only infrastructure but also to one's mental state.

@nils what I do in these cases is pass an array to
renderWith, with a fallback template… and in this fallback template I put something like “No template for $ClassName found”… not sure if this would be applicable to your issue
it's nice but a bit annoying when things break if the template doesn't exist
I've ended up doing a lot of rendering based on dynamic template names lately
as long as you know where they will live
