but it looks like you could also get the video owner id from the channel associated with video, through a couple of API requests
something from here: https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/code_samples/code_snippets looks like it would be up your alley
so without knowing anything about the youtube API, my instinct would be to instead use a logged-in users auth credentials to get a list of their public videos and let them embed them that way

Hi everyone, I have recently developed a video sharing website for a project where users can create an account and then embed a video link from YouTube. I was wondering if there was a tool or way to verify that the video uploaded by the user on my site, is the same user from YouTube (i.e. owns the rights to the video). For example, if people were to sign into my website via their YouTube/google account, would there be a way to match the embedded video link to their YouTube account ?
