@vanny if you want silverstripe use your cache dir, create a directory called "silverstripe-cache" in your ss-root
I ran install.php again onto same db and all back to normal
it says the cache is windows/temp but I have cleaned that out
I think it was trying to create thumbs and resampled versions of all the images during a
/dev/build or something - can’t quite remember because it’s been a bit.
I also ran into a memory limit issue like that on a site that had a ton of image resources.
I ended up having to run the
/dev/build process a few times - the issue was that it was running out of memory before it could process whatever it is that it needed to do on every image.
however, some of them were getting completed. So a few runs of
/dev/build finally cleared them out.
I ended up switching the image backend to
imagick, which solved those issues.
we just had to track down the cache directories on Windows - I do think they were in the temp directory
but if it’s a memory limit issue, I’d recommend temporarily throwing a phpinfo file out there to verify the memory limit was getting adjusted in the correct config and is being applied properly
man trying to find where the cache is located is is tricky, I font some in the windows temp folder, deleted but no luck
its an IIS machine as well.
