I was going for a very loose riff on American corporate style (at least... in the movies) insurance cover, etc.

Yeah. Part of the many benefits in the opulence of corporate america is to have all inclusive healthcare, even having baby sitters or nurseries at the office (e.g. google) and even on-location (or very close by) optometry practices (e.g. Facebook)

Patrick Nelson

We don’t quite have that at eBay but pretty close. We do on occasion have them visit (optometry folks) and it’s an event where we have the opportunity to get our eyes checked and purchase glasses, etc.

At least, she was in the house, until she left, with @Patrick Nelson because she's his partner and they're going onward with their travels :)

anyone ever work with LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) in their controller, as a way to integrate Silverstripe data into a Learning Management System like Moodle, Blackboard or Canvas?

If you want to feel sorry for someone today, feel sorry for the person trying to manage the UK parliament petition hosting system 😄

Ramon Lapenta

lol, was thinking the same! that thing is getting like 5k signatures per minute 😄

Mo

If you search for "Brexit"... 1360 results...

Mo

It's a shame there isn't a "replace the UK government with MP's who can work together" petition that isn't getting this much traction!

dorsetdigital

The real shame is that it will, like 99% of the other petitions on there, be ignored

dorsetdigital

There will be a prepared statement, which addresses none of the issues and that will be it.

dorsetdigital

It was "debated" and the response was "It is not government policy"

Ramon Lapenta

in the lines of “we appreciate your opinion but we want to carry on with Brexit even if we can’t agree on a single point”

dorsetdigital

It's why I generally don't bother with the petitions site. Almost all the them (even the biggest / most popular) are brushed aside

dorsetdigital

They seem to exist to let people believe they are having a say, get it out of their system and then forget about the issue
