Once it's shared, that's a whole different story
If the branch isn't (yet) shared, then force-pushing and rebasing the crap out of are legit.
once I asked a dev why they used force push to a branch (as there are valid reasons), but the reply I got was… it’s in git, so if it’s there, I can use it. they knew why they added it and if it was bad, it wouldn’t be there.
