I did not change the PHP version when making the deploy. I changed it afterwards.

Yaps, the cache needs to be fully rebuild after a PHP version change, I would say even do it for minor versions, just to be sure

the cache would have contained some code specific to PHP7.2 that broke in 7.3

flush still depends on PHP to execute. Manually wipe the cache on your server (rm -rf /tmp/silverstripe* ought to do it)

Yes, but flush didn’t change anything. I updated from PHP 7.2 to 7.3 and now it works again.

Hej there. I just killed a client website through an update from 4.2 → 4.4. It works locally on my machine, but crashes online. Has someone an idea why it broke? https://www.eurochallenge.de/
