well, if TinyMCE can't find the editor.css then it sounds like a bug to me
Although that issue is about defining the content_css manually for the editor…
and it does get overridden

Set the environment values in the .htaccess?
doesn't the .env file go in the parent of the docroot?
That would be a possibility… from reading the documentation I had the impression that apache env vars should be preferred over a .env file
but putting it outside of the webroot seems good as well. Thanks @papabear
@bummzack we are currently solving this problem ourselves. Easy solution is a .env in each webroot. Hard solution is to use apache env vars per vhost, and work out something to do CLI commands with
