So you'll want to synonym

At least, I'd think that would cover about 99% of use cases
You can look at the CWP code or my Solr8 work to see how to implement synonyms from SiteConfig or custom
Great thanks @Firesphere
Hi, I’m trying to use Solr search and its returning the results I need. I need to implement a alphabetical sort on the results, but for some fields it seems to sort them incorrectly (as when I change the sort between the ASC and DESC the order of the results change).
What I did was pass a sort parameters to the SearchQuery:
$params['sort'] = 'Person::class . '_Surname asc'; It works for some fields on the object but not other fields properly for some reason. Int type DB like ID fields seemed to work fine, but for Varchar fields, it doesn’t sort them correctly. Anyone know if the fields have to be a certain type or if there’s something else I’m missing?
Is the field added as a SortableField?
So I’ve only added it as a fulltextfield:
Well, there's your problem 🙂 You can't sort on a fulltext field only, as it's not a stored/indexed value
