For those of you that use the Silverstripe S3 module, do you use it with multiple pods and, if so, do you need to do anything in particular to ensure assets in both protected and published get written/read from S3 regardless of the pod you're connected to?

Thinking in particular if you had 5 pods, you connect to pod1, upload a file to Files and click 'Save'. Page reloads and you connect to pod3. Will you see the asset you just uploaded reliably without issue?

Barry

hi all. Is it possible to configure public/assets to be a different folder name, e.g. public/mycustomfolder ?

null

No, ASSETS_DIR is a hard-coded constant in silverstripe/framework

null
  1. if (!defined('ASSETS_DIR')) {
  2. define('ASSETS_DIR', 'assets');
  3. }

Actually you might be able to set it as an environment variable in your .env. No idea if anything will break though 😅

Firesphere

You could define it before it's initialised, e.g. in your _config.php?
