requireDefaultRecords() looks like it could be a goer, will this be called even if the object has already been built? we will be updating the components frequently so this will need to update each time a dev build is called.
trying to make this as simple as possible for authors (non devs)
okay, do i need to call flush on the object or will a flush on any random page do the trick?
it would just be caching the names and locations of the components
in a file or the DB, not sure yet
