@robbieaverill need help getting the basic unit test to work; installed via: composer create-project --keep-vcs --dev silverstripe/installer ./ 4.x-dev --prefer-source and followed up with: .\vendor\bin\phpunit .\vendor\silverstripe\framework\tests\php\View\RequirementsTest.php This then resulted in 10 failures. This is out-of-box without any modifications, without even running the installer from browser (I had tried on another installation with browser installer completed and the same failures occurred)

Hi @cwc! Please don't tag individuals for help, as they might not be present or have the capacity to answer your queries. Instead, pose the question generally so that whoever is able can respond. You might also want to consider posting on Stack Overflow and/or the SilverStripe Forums. Thanks!

Hi @cheddam, it's actually a follow-up from https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-framework/pull/9132#issuecomment-512571600

That's odd. Feel free to ping me on the community Slack channel to discuss further if you'd like to.

Ah, no worries then - sorry for the trouble 🙂

robbieaverill

I did ask him to, but send me a direct message :-) also send me the output from your phpunit test run

Ok so all those failures are related to hash mismatches. I’m not sure why they’d be failing for you but not in Travis CI, aside from maybe windows versus Unix, but my suggestion would be to write a new test anyway and ignore those failures for now 😄

Some other things I remember having issues with would be pagination, since webpages flow without that concept; although wkhtmltopdf supports pagebreaks, we couldn’t get that wotking the way we wanted. The pdfs on this site were generated on the fly from cms content: http://journal.practice.org.sg/en/

@Mo we’ve built something using wkhtmltopdf, a binary u can install on ur server. Will need to play ard with the html though, since with pixel to irl dimensions, some css/html dun play that nice

Could anyone point me in the direction where i may dig up more info abt the default items cached in silverstripe-cache folder? Am trying to evaluate the security of these items

Quick question, if i wanna build a react-based ui in the cms for managing models, i would have to extend leftandmain, not modeladmin? I’m guessing based on campaignadmin

oic, i'll give it a whirl and update back 🙂

But PasswordField by default removes its value before rendering in the form, so it appears blank; when the user next saves it, the blank value overrides his previous value. I am trying to see if I can avoid that by reverting its value, if blank, to its previous
