@wmk @Firesphere that fixes the issue with not having to log out of the cms to view the changes, but in asset-admin you still see the original filename. That’s confusing for content authors, because they thing nothing has changed.... Even if the search for the newly uploaded document, it is not found which makes it even more confusing

wmk

caching issue? Do you see the new filename when you reload the page? Sounds like a bug to me

guy_van_bael

no, it’s still the original filename, but it shows the content of the new file...

wmk

Cache... can you please create an issue?

guy_van_bael

ok. but if it’s cache, it should update when i ?flush right?

guy_van_bael

@wmk i was in doubt if i should raise the issue in asset-admin or assets?

wmk

good question. I guess asset-admin is the right one, as it might be a UI-caching problem / graphql caching problem.

wmk

They will move it to the right module if needed, so don't worry

@wmk you are right. The changes are only visible when i log out of the admin. This is really confusing, because in the cms, the filename isn’t updated either, so content authors think nothing has changed. I noticed a new release from silverstripe/assets, but i can’t install it using composer. It keeps saying ‘nothing to install’

guy_van_bael

al uploaded files are automatically published (i wrote an extension for that). By nothing changes, i mean that the file is still the old one and the new one isn’t in the filestore...

Hi Team, I encounter an issue with replacing an asset. When i replace a pdf in the assets with a new file using replace file, the ui says it’s uploaden and i have to save, but when i save nothing changes... has anyone experienced this?

guy_van_bael

@dorsetdigital problem solved... sendmail wasn’t present on the linux server of the hosting provider. Thanx all for helping out! 💪

mmativ

I have that issue before but until now i can't fix, every time i set up my sendmail got stuck so i decide to use postmark

guy_van_bael

gonna start with the script and move on from there @dorsetdigital. Thanx for helping out!

guy_van_bael

so my guess is that it’s a server setting at the hosting provider....but i haven’t got a clue which one, cause i”ve never experienced issues with userforms and i’ve used it about a 100 times 🙂
